For the second week running there was a phenomenal turnout for the wheeler's chain-gang with S Lockett and J Murfin meeting at the square at noon. After a guest appearance from J Crosland Murfin and Lockett set off on a slightly unusual Chain-gang. Setting off on the normal route they took a slight diversion at Wigglesworth continuing along the B6478 to Newton they went over the trough of Bowland and then over Lee Fell through Caton until they were called for a tea stop at Wray. After the team split at Clapham S Lockett had completed his 60 miles and Murfin had 8 miles to go to finish his.
